1150 Air Miles will get you a round trip

For about 1150 Air Miles, and $180 in taxes, you can purchase a round trip ticket from Winnipeg to most major cities in Canada, west of Ottawa. The sales is on April 7 to 13th and you can then fly up until the end of May 2014.

Dates are somewhat limited, as with all Air Miles flight redemptions, however if you can find a suitable flight, you are saving at least 50% off purchasing the fare through the airline itself with cash.

Both Westjet and Air Canada are participating in this sale. Air Canada is offering 15% off to select cities. While Westjet is offering 25% off miles to buy, in other select cities.

Here is one quick example that was available the morning of April 7th.

Air Miles has revised their web site, so if you haven't been on there this month, it will look a little different. I like the improvements and I seem to have better luck finding available flights. This is good news for Air Miles collectors.
